This Is Where You Begin

 Spend some time on the following questions, and be as honest as possible.

1. What are my strengths?

2. What are my weaknesses?

3. What am I afraid of?

4. What makes me happy?

5. What makes me sad?

7. What don’t I want out of life?

8. What do I like about myself?

9. What don’t I like about myself?

10. Who am I?

After you’ve answered the questions, take a look at your responses.

What do they tell you about yourself?

Can you see any patterns?

Are there things you need to work on?

Now it’s time to start exploring your shadow.

This is the part of yourself that you may not want to see or acknowledge. It’s the part of you that’s dark, dangerous, and hidden. But it’s also the part of you that holds the answers to the questions from the first section.

To start, think about the things you wrote down in question 3:

  1. What are you afraid of?
  2. Does anything makes you afraid?
  3. What do you think about yourself that scares you?

Once you have some answers,

It’s time to start working on those fears. That helps you change your thinking and attitude. They can be about anything, but it’s best to focus on your concern for shadow work.

Here are a few affirmations for you

1. I am not my fear.

2. I am safe and protected.

3. I am strong and capable.

4. I can handle whatever comes in my course.

5. I am surrounded by love and support.

6. I am open to change.

8. I am courageous.

Start by repeating one or two of these affirmations every day. Then, as you get used to them, add more. The most important thing is that they resonate with you and help you feel better about yourself.

In addition to affirmations, you can also do a few other things to help you face your fears. One is to journal. Please write down your worries, and then write about how you plan to meet them.

You can also try meditation.

This is a great way to get in touch with your inner self and explore your shadow. As you inhale, say to yourself, “I am safe.” Then, as you exhale, say, “I am strong.” Repeat this for as long as you like.
